Back-to-back punditry on tv is among the reasons that Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Tim Russert's happy face, incisive questions, informed and unflinching interview style, were among the reasons too. Recently, I tried and couldn't even recall who immediately preceded him as Meet the Press' host. His joviality and Everyman shoutouts rooting for the Buffalo Bills or Boston College made him more the guy you have a beer with, or want to, rather than a talking head. I am sorry for our loss.
