Where's a Revolution When You Need One?
Given the continuing reports of mind-boggling money mismanagement, I'm surprised the flipping conservatives aren't marching and chanting in the streets: "Gray Davis Bush! Gray Davis Bush!" let alone those of us sadly incredulous at the thousands of lives left in the balance. If we can't get rid of him, IS THERE NO WAY TO MAKE THIS MAN ACCOUNTABLE? FOR ANYTHING? Heaping mounds of taxpayers money is being thrown about to scant or often ill effect, Spencer Hsu points out, as Katrina and Rita survivors remain underserved. It's as infuriating as it is depressing. I saw President Musharaff after the recent quake in Pakistan and India say on BBCWorld News "even Bush didn't respond within 24 hours to Katrina. Please. Be patient with us." If Musharaff compares favorably to the American President, it's not, as Martha might say, a good thing, you think?
