That should be the name of a band. You heard it here first.

Spring has sprung here in Capital City, except for the couple of days this week that previewed the upcoming swelter of summer. As such, I've been spending a lot of time outdoors, discovering new beauty in the yard and not blogging. Of course, there's no dearth of things to blog about, I've just not been into the keyboard lately.

There have been a few things on my mind though, like--

Would YOU hire this man? I think he may be looking for a new gig soon. He's well educated, experienced, and wears a nice suit. Aside from recurrent bouts of foot in mouth disease, I'm sure he could be an asset to some organization.


How 'bout that Specter, huh? Specter's latest move — which he acknowledges came after seeing a private poll that showed he would be doomed in next year's GOP primary in Pennsylvania — appears to make him a much safer bet for re-election. from Time magazine. Guess winning IS everything. You gotta give him props for his negotiation skills, though. He crossed party lines in a single bound and took all his seniority with him! He might want to be a little leery of all those welcoming pats on the back his fellow Dems are giving him--some might be shielding blades. (Hey--if you were suddenly farther away from a plum Committee chairmanship you'd been salivating over for years, the thought might cross even your mind.)

And finally, whining: Why are ALL the coolest widgets only available to Wordpress blogs? Why am I intimidated by installing and configuring Wordpress?
