Does ANYBODY want to be Commerce Secretary?!!

Now Senator Gregg has withdrawn his name from consideration, citing policy differences with the Obama Administration. Don't these people discuss policy possibilities and political differences before they accept the nomination?1 If not, on what basis are they accepting?! This is crazy!
