Walking in the rain
The sky seemed to threaten more of its recent downloads, making a bike ride along the Potomac from Gravelly Point a bit risky. I roused and walked about 3 miles in a fine rain instead. My new jacket by Columbia, bought on impulse on the way back from Peace Corps orientation, for this express purpose served FANTASTICALLY. It's very lightweight, water repellent, vented, about hip length with a bibbed hood, zipper and snap front covered placket. It wasn't bulky at all over a hooded fleece and long sleeved cotton spandex t-shirt. It was only $9.99, at CitySports, marked down from $29.99 from $45.99--who could resist?
