Today I met a bunch of great people online here in MD, largely at katrinahousing.org who are not only willing to open their homes, but are also even willing to travel down to pick up folks. It's been great organizing online with them all day.

I contacted the CEO at RIM today to suggest it partner with aid organizations to provide Blackberries to aid workers onsite. A problem many voiced repeatedly today was being unable to match their housing offer to Katrina survivors...volunteers armed with Blackberries would help that. No response from RIM, of course.

I registered the domain katrinablendedfamilies.net and have a friend putting a site together and hosting it. It should be ready tomorrow.
