BIG UP Michelle's Hairdresser!

Gene Healy, in yesterday's Examiner, has a point:
Americans, of all people, should recognize how bizarre and dangerous it is to fawn over professional politicians. I agree that it is bizarre, scarily bizarre, the degree of adulation that President Obama elicits and from such a farflung (geographically and politically) constituency. Chris Matthews' 'get-a-room-already' fawning at MSNBC is downright embarrassing. Yet, I too succumb.

I couldn't help but high-five the air in pride when I saw them descend the stairs of Air Force One. Don't know 'em, never met 'em (though we do frequent some of the same places...), yet still I felt personally proud to see them, brown like me, coming out of Air Force One. I loved Michelle's outfit -- and THE HAIR? THE HAIR? Ladies, you know what I'm talking about. She was coming out of a plane, for goodness sake and her hair was perfection. Her hairdresser had her hair lacquered to a fare thee well! Stocks of whatever hairspray or goo used on the First Lady's do should fly off the shelves (and be added to portfolios) Not a single hair from the back or top of her hair moved at all! Her sideswept bangs barely and briefly teased her cheek, giving her the chance to coyly sweep them back.

Waddaryagonnado? We don't gotta love 'em, but we just can't seem to help ourselves!
